oh i have so much blogging to do! this month, we have had the most fun playdates and have taken trips to vancouver and to see some sweet cousins! all those posts to come.. but first, let me get caught up on the littlest one :-) can't believe i am almost 19 weeks!
How far along?: 16 weeks
Weight gain: 6 total
Cravings: fruits
Maternity clothes: bella band, some jeans, a few shirts
Stretch marks? : nope
Symptoms: No nausea or vomiting!! WOOHOO!! Increased appetite, stretching pains
Movement: some sweet little kicks
Gender prediction: GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!
This week: Was a super fun week!! We went to a place called Baby Connection near where we live to find out the sex of this little one. Right when the tech put the probe on my belly, she was able to say the baby was 100% a girl. We can hardly believe it!! We really didn’t care which we were having, but we feel so blessed to get to have a daughter. Our hearts are so full! Little miss was in a pike position with her bottom up. She always made sure she was in in the perfect profile shot... loves having her picture taken!
She is quite a sassy little thing.. the sono tech asked me to press her bottom since it was right up against my skin to see what she would do. This was the reaction..
We are in trouble! She immediately held up one finger as if to say “hold on mommy.. no poking!!” ha. She is so cute!! I also had my 16 week check up this week.. everything looked great!
This week, we also made the official facebook announcement by posting this picture :-)
How’s Robert doing?: He is great.. Robert came with me to the doctor. He LOVED it. Loved the doppler and sweet heart beat he heard. He has been asking to go to the doctor with mommy since then!
How’s daddy doing?: He is doing very well.. happy to be having a daughter. The biggest smile broke out on his face when he heard “girl”.. I will never forget it. This little one already has her daddy’s heart.
How far along?: 17 weeks
Weight gain: 8 total :-(
Cravings: fruits, sweets, frosted flakes (I am apparently a five year old.. ha)
Maternity clothes: bella band, some jeans, a few shirts
Stretch marks? : nope
Symptoms: hip pain, back pain, swelling in ankles, growing belly!! I think I have hit a growth spurt! Uterus right at my belly button. Way more energy!
Movement: kicks are getting more obvious and sometimes I swear I can feel them with my hand on the outside. It’s magic. I love this part!!
Gender prediction: GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!
This week: We had an echo done (for fun.. no real reason, other than us being paranoid!) to look at little one’s heart. Thank GOD, her heart looked great!! I was so relieved to hear and see this. When you work in pediatrics, you don’t take a single thing for granted. These babies are miracles.. every cell in them.
How’s Robert doing?: He is wonderful. We took a trip to see his cousins, Cate and Hurst, and he had the BEST time with them. Cate and him stayed up playing late and just loved being together.
How’s daddy doing?: Good! Very relieved that she has a healthy looking heart! He is getting into nesting mode.. starting to get serious about cleaning the office out to be transformed into Robert’s new big boy room! yay!
also went to nordstrom to daydream about these little gems.. oh i can't wait!!
