first haircut..

robert had his first haircut on october 6th!

(date for me.. ha)

I had been avoiding this day for a long time. i loved his cute curls in the back.. and was so scared they would disappear when we cut his hair. 

but, rob insisted.. and to be honest, it was definitely time. he was starting to get a little rat tail in the back and it was overgrowing his ears. we don't want to be those parents :-)

here we are before.. so cute and sweet.

rob was so excited to cut robert's hair. we even went and got special scissors to do it! and, as it turns out, if taking care of sicks kids falls through for rob, he has a fall back career for sure!

he was so good during the whole process.. just played with whatever he could get his hands on :-)

so so handsome. we have had to do a few follow up snips that we missed the first night, but overall, we think it looks great :-) he looks so old to me. i will admit, i got a little teary and i definitely saved the hair for the babybook!

he is so serious in this picture (watching a little boy at the park play on his pogo stick), but it showcases his new "do" very well :-)

we love you big boy! i promise not to cry at every haircut!
