a birthday and a trip..

we have had such a month so far in our house!

september 15th was rob's birthday. we celebrated by making some cupcakes, eating a yummy dinner and opening presents. robert is all about a party so he had a great time!

can you see how much this little boy loves his dada?! it is so sweet.

happy birthday, rob! we love you so so much! 

the weekend after rob's birthday, we headed to fresno to see some friends and keep the party going. these are some dear friends from rob's fellowship. we feel so blessed that they all live in northern california with us!

they live in the most gorgeous house with the most gorgeous view. i have never been to any house like it.

we got to watch the most amazing sunset. i can't remember the last time i watched the sun set. it was just what i needed to remind myself of all that can and will be.

we, of course, had to have some impromptu photoshoots in such a gorgeous setting..

robert then spent the rest of the night chasing around, buddy.. who was such a great sport. robert just followed him around saying "woof, woof" and pointing.

that night we had a fabulous dinner and amazing cake..

the next morning we watched the sun rise over the valley.. unreal. we were a little late, but we got the idea!

we had such a great time and, of course, loved celebrating rob!
