july 26th was my 30th birthday.
it is still sinking in that i am no longer 20 something, but overall i am very excited to welcome my 30s! i loved my 20s and am very proud of all i accomplished in them.. but all good things must come to an end and i am excited for the fresh start and clean slate!
i had a wonderful time celebrating the big day. a huge thank you to my mom, who came out to watch mr. robert charles so rob and i could get away for the weekend. robert loved being with his nana and they had so much fun together. by the time we got home (about 48 hours later), he had a minimum of 5 new toys, 2 new outfits, and found a new love in sugar free popsicles. thank you for coming, nana! we love you!
rob and i went to san francisco to celebrate my birthday. we had so much fun. it amazing how different it feels to sleep in, take your time to get ready, not have to worry about nap times/ bed times.. ha. we missed our little guy, but enjoyed some adult time as well!
friday, we got all checked in and then went to one of our favorite spots, the slanted door. it is in the ferry building with a gorgeous view of the bay bridge. the food was amazing. it was so great to have a relaxing, non-rushed dinner :-)
the next day, we had lunch on the top floor of our hotel. the weather in the bay was perfect, so we were able to enjoy some gorgeous views of the city.
we spent the rest of the day shopping in union square and relaxing. we went to little italy that night for dinner and had a great time walking around afterwards (of course, there was gelato involved..).
the next day we headed to sausalito for lunch but stopped on the way to get some pictures of my favorite thing to see in sf.. the golden gate bridge. it just never gets old.
it was a perfect weekend!
on the actual day, rob and robert grilled for me (my fav) and we got some very yummy cupcakes.
isn't this the cutest of robert watching rob grill.. he sits at the window the whole time saying "da?"
what a great way to say hello to my 30s!!
thank you to all my sweet friends who called, sent cards, and texted. i am so blessed with the most amazing friends and family. you all really made my day!
