11 months..

robert charles.. 11 months old! we can hardly believe that, in just one month, you will be one year old. we are so blessed. this has been such a fun age. we follow you around like paparazzi trying to capture each new discovery or facial expression. 

we especially love this sweet smile (and the way your hair is curling up at the ends!)

this month has been a very busy month for us and you have handled it all so well. mommy and daddy have been working more than usual and we took our first weekend trip away from you (more on that trip in the following post!). we are so proud at how easily you adapt to new situations.

playing.. 

i really feel like instead of "11 months", i should have titled this post.. "places i have found my son and the funny things he puts in his mouth".. ha. you are all over the place. you love to climb and rarely want to be held.. you always want down! you really keep us on our toes, sweet boy!

when you disappear, we always find you here first.. playing with the doorstopper.. you have located them at every door in the house and just love the sound they make.. ha

you are always just around the corner when you hear the dishwasher open..

you can't get enough of the fridge and cry when we close it..

you think the pantry is your own personal refuge..

daddy's headphone cords are the greatest..

kleenex are your favorite toy..

and you are always super helpful when it comes to rearranging furniture..

you love to play ball..

and swing..

and would much rather be climbing into your toys than playing around them..

you are loving showing off your new tricks at the pool. after swimming, we always sit in the shade and have some water, puffs and fruit.

we have graduated you to the "big bath" and you have loved it. you literally crawl around in the water and chew on anything you can get your hands on. you love the running water and will stick your face under it! no fear!

after bath, we have started to brush teeth. you love it! speaking of teeth, we still just have the two but his gums are so swollen! i have a feeling that 4 or 5 will come all at once very soon!



eating..
you had a great few weeks of eating tons of food. not many finger foods, but doing so much better with the bottles and purees that i make you! you seem very happy to be fed for your whole life.. although i try and tell you that it is way cooler to feed yourself.. ha. oh well, we know it will come in time! your fav food, by far lately, is cheese puffs! you can pack down about 6 of those in no time! we recently had to double your prevacid dose.. ugh. we are praying this is the magic dose. so far, it seems to have helped! (everyone go knock on wood).

we are kind of in an eating funk again, but i think it's those teeth and i know we will be back to normal in no time. we are trying to give him all kids of new finger foods! it has been so much fun to let you try new things.. i can't wait until you actually eat them :-)

sleeping..
not much new going on here.. about 10.5 hours at night and two 1.5-2 hour naps in the day! still praying for that 8am wake up.. :-)

new tricks..
baby boy, you are the master cruiser and climber. you can get up onto almost anything and love to cruise all around the furniture.

you very consistently call dada with "da" or "dee".. it is very cute. every time you hear the phone ring and daddy is not home, you look at me and say "da?"

you wave "hi". it is so cute.

you can give kisses.. they are opened mouthed and wet! love it. i will get video of this and post it!

you continue to clap anytime you hear anyone else doing it or for no reason at all :-)
