8 months..

sweet robert, you are a little over 8 months old and becoming such a big boy! let's see what you are up to:

stats..

about 18.5 pounds, size 6-12 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

eating (kind of)..

you are not the biggest eater or the best eater.. but you are eating more and more solids. i make all your baby food and you seem to prefer mine over any jarred kind (so proud!). you have 4 bottles a day and 3 solid meals. on the menu: oatmeal, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, corn, broccoli, green beans, yogurt, pears, apples, blueberries, apricots, mango, bananas, mozzarella cheese, and organic puffs. you have almost perfected your pincer grasp and love to give yourself your sippy cup full of water (you LOVE water!).. and mommy couldn't be more proud!

talking.. 

your favorites? dadada, lalalala, yayaya. i say "what about mamamama?" and you laugh and just say "dadada" .. it is just so cute. you can be very serious when talking or very light- hearted. you have the sweetest voice.

playing..

more and more, you LOVE your toys.. you jump in your exersaucer, play with your rings, talk to your animals. you love anything we have- the remote, the phone, the computer. we have tried getting you your own "kid" versions of these things, but those just won't do.. you need the real thing!

reading..

oh baby boy, you love your books. you actually know them so well that you start to cry towards the end of the story. your mom and dad know them so well that we can recite them to you with our eyes closed :-)

crawling (almost)..

we.are.in.trouble. you get up on all fours and rock.. those legs can go, but the arms can't quite keep up! so close!

sleeping..

you take 2-3 naps a day and sleep about 10 hours at night. yay! you love your crib and will fuss to go in there. you like to pull your blanket up over your head and roll onto your side to sleep. so sweet.

playing outside..

you love your walks and went to the park for the first time last week! swinging meant instant giggling.. it  was so fun and we can't wait to bring you back now that the weather is so nice.

official 8 month photos..

woo.. those are getting harder to take! you are on the GO sweet buddy. you have such a personality. you are almost always smiling and laughing (unless we are trying to feed you.. ha) and you know exactly what you want and when you want it (no idea where he could get that from.. ;-) ) we love you so much!
