i know that i won't be able to keep up the monthly updates but i will try to do little updates as much as i can, as well as all the fun stuff we are up to!
robert has been a busy little bee this past month! he has been traveling quite a bit, started back up with music classes, and has quite the play date schedule these days!
we have been having some warm weather still, so we are spending as much time as we can outside before the rainy season starts!
robert plays golf nearly every day..
loves to hang out in my car.. this sort of backfired on me. one day, he decided to climb into his car seat from the passenger front side. i thought.. well, ok, that's fine with me! no problem! wrong.. now this is the only way he will enter the car and he likes to sit and press buttons for at least 5 minutes before he will consider climbing back to his seat. lesson learned. he is a pretty cute little driver though..
we have been playing at the fountains a lot too.. and, of course, riding the train..
robert still loves to walk to the park almost everyday. it is about a mile and a half away.. with some big hills. i am always so impressed how long and far these babies can walk! he plays hard!
we have been getting some water table time in too.. and robert has discovered how to work the hose. he is quite helpful at helping keep all the plants watered (and the sidewalk)!
he still won't pick up and eat any fruit.. suggestions welcome. in the mean time though, we do a lot of fruit smoothies and purees. whatever works, right?
little guy is getting a much better at running errands again with mommy! we went through about a 5 month period where taking him into any store on your own was just a mess! he climbs out of any cart and will run away.. it's hard to get anything done! recently though, he will help me push the cart or ride in the big part (i know, it's not recommended.. but it's the only way to get anything done sometimes!). i am so excited to have my little errand buddy back!
robert got a doctor kit from his sweet friend, henry, for his birthday. he loves to practice with it! maybe we have a future doctor on our hands!
naptimes and bedtimes have returned back to normal around here too.. literally, on his 2nd birthday, he decided that he would start to fight going to sleep. oh goodness. so, we had to set some firm limits- like a only 4 books- to get it back to normal! sweet boy..
we have started talking about potty training around here. he is pretty good about telling us when he needs his diaper changed.. but other than that, no big signs. he loves the toilet though so we thought why not get him his own. he loves to sit on it! it is so cute.. nothing has happened on it yet, but we were so encouraged that he even liked it. and then i found this.. and thought maybe we still have a long way to go ;-)
his speech is picking up quite a bit! the other day he said, "hold you?" when he wanted me to pick him up. melt my heart. we are working on please and thank you - "eeese" and "kew"- so sweet. he is saying new words every day and we hope it just keeps going that way. i really don't want to do speech therapy, but we will if we have to! he is a little sponge and loves to learn. we are doing colors and counting a lot lately. no luck on the counting, but he can identify yellow, green, white, red, orange, and blue.
robert is quite the little ham with the camera sometimes. i just love it.
we love you so much, sweet boy!! you make us so happy!
i will write more later! i already have a ton of pictures from this month.. it is so hard to get all caught up on the blog once you get behind! once again, lesson learned! :-)
