santa monica..

this past week, my youngest sister, suzie, flew in from atlanta to visit us. we were so excited to have her here! robert just loves his aunt su su su. while we had her in california, we decided to fly down to santa monica. suzie and i are a little hollywood obsessed so this trip has been a long time coming!

we had such a great time. we were on the constant look- out for celebrities (read: the kardashian family.. suzie is a big fan), but didn't get to see any. we feel like we fit right in though.. minus our cameras and constant giggling. rob and robert were real troopers.

we were so excited to visit the chinese and kodak theaters. we were even lucky enough to be there the night they were premiering green lantern. we didn't get to see ryan reynolds, but i felt like he knew we were there.

after we checked out all the stars and footprints, we headed to top of the kodak theater mall where you could see the "hollywood" sign. this was a huge moment for me (stop laughing). i was so giddy.. even little robert could not stop laughing. you have to really squint your eyes, but the hollywood sign is there.

the next day we checked out the santa monica pier. it was so cute and fun. we didn't go on any rides, but i did get the world's largest funnel cake.. yum.

after some shopping in the promenade, it got really sunny and beautiful so we headed down to the beach and took some pictures. 

the next day, we hit up rodeo drive. all i can say is wow. are people really that rich? suzie and i loved walking around and checking out the scene. after we were done, we all, of course, stopped by the beverly hills sprinkles for some cupcakes. we ate super healthy the entire trip ;-)

we had such a great trip. robert traveled so well.. despite him getting sick at the end (102 fever + flying = not so fun for our little man). robert loved all the people watching and being outside near the ocean. we can't wait to bring him back.. we may even have to work disneyland into the next trip.
