two years...

robert charles, you are two years old..

two years old!

i know, i know.. i say it every month.. but i just can't believe you are two! you are so precious and are growing and changing so much every day. 

weight: 25 pounds, 15.5 oz (26%)

height: 35 1/4 inches (88%)

our tall, lean boy! these measurements were taken a month ago, so i am sure he has grown even more since then!

diapers: size 4

shoes: size 7 or 8, depending on shoe

clothes: 18-24 months and some 2T

teeth: 18! you are the proud new owner of the bottom 2 year old molars :-)

some cute things about you at two:

you are almost always smiling

when you are not smiling, you can throw some pretty impressive tantrums that involve throwing yourself on the ground and refusing to get up :-)

you are the pickiest little eater.. your favorite foods are chicken nuggets, mac &cheese, carrots, pears, peanut butter sandwiches, pizza and french fries.

you, all the sudden, have a biggest sweet tooth. you love the earth's best "oreos".. but just the cream. you also will never refuse vanilla ice cream :-)

you give the best hugs and kisses.

you love tents.

you love playing with your trains. dunbar and hoot&toot from chuggington go almost everywhere with you.

you love to play ball.

you love to be chased.. and will complain if we get too close to catching you :-)

you turn any slanted surface into a "slide"

you go to the park almost everyday

you are saying more and more words. you say "ya",  "no", "ball", "car", "all done", "blow on it" (when your food is hot), "oh dear" (just like mr. smee on jake!),  "croc", "light", "on", "off", "i got it".

we recently had your hearing tested because your speech is a tad behind and it was perfect. 

you understand everything we say. we have to spell out a lot of words these days!

you can act out your books.. i need to videotape it. you will finish the sentences of the books with sounds and actions as we read them. it is so darling. melts our hearts.

you love helicopters and point them out in the sky.

you love to dance and sing.



you love to help put your lotion on after bath and will even pretend to put on deodorant.

you can open all the doors in our house now.



you love to paint outside.

you are back in music class and super into it. you are dancing and following directions much more this semester.

you still take one nap a day and sleep anywhere between 10 and 12 hours at night. you are getting pretty creative in avoiding bedtime :-)

oh, robert, i am sure there are a million other precious things that you are doing! i could never name all the things you do each day to make us smile. we love you so much! you have made your daddy and i the happiest parents on earth. we thank God for you everyday and know what a blessing and privilege you are. i hope we make you feel that way every day!
