out with the old, in with the new..

anyone who knows rob, knows that robert was not his first baby.. ha.. it was his 3series bmw.

when i first started dating rob back in 2003, he was a fellow with a picture of his dream car on his refrigerator. he had it up since medical school. he had gone to test drive them many times and dreamed of the day he could buy himself one after fellowship.

in 2007, i will never forget it. he got his car!! it was so exciting!! and so the love affair began.. with the bi-monthly washes and careful parking spot selection :-) we have absolutely loved this car and have so many fun memories from it.. our fav being the cross country trip from texas to california in 2009.

this year the warranty was up.. and we were all getting a little cramped in our cars. i drove an is250.. i guess we just weren't very good planners when it came to kid friendly cars. it was getting to the point that we couldn't even fit our luggage into one of our cars.. awful. so, we decided to trade his in for a x3 for robert and i and rob would take my car.

sad, sad day for rob!

but check out this little beauty :-)

i love my new car. it is so much more comfortable for us and just so wonderful! we call it robert's car.. he loves it!

here he is just chil-laxin in the back..

so out with the old, in with the new.. rob is already planning on what he will get when the lease is up next year for the is250. men and their cars :-) it is really the only thing rob gets for himself.. he works so hard and deserves it!

as a side note.. we count our blessings everyday that we are able to even have a car. we laugh about this being a sad day for rob.. but certainly know how very lucky we are :-)

  1. Ha! I remember how excited Rob was to get that car! He would always ask me about my BMW and how I liked it.I was so happy for him when he finally got it. Love the new car!, I want one too so bad (K needs some leg room) but to get one this momma would have to start working more than one day a week! I guess it all balances out. Like you said I'm also just thankful to have a car, but a girl can dream!! Enjoy the new car!!
