mexican getaway..

this past week, rob and i packed our bags and headed to cancun, mexico!

we had been planning a "just us" trip for awhile. it is funny because, at first, i was not nervous at all and rob was more hesitant to leave robert... but then, the roles reversed. by the time the day arrived, i was complete mess over leaving our sweet boy. 

turns out, i had nothing to worry about. robert's ana and ba came to watch him and he did so well! he was so happy whenever we checked in on him and got spoiled rotten, just as he should! :-)

rob and i had the best time. we were both really able to relax, knowing that robert was in such great hands. 

we literally woke up, ate, sat on beach, ate, and slept.. the whole time. it was unreal. 

the sand was so white and the water so clear. we had great weather the whole time.. not one drop of rain. 

there was this natural pool near our hotel. so pretty and peaceful. 

every night, we would go out for a nice dinner at one of the restaurants at the resort. it was so nice having so many date nights with my sweet husband!

every night after dinner, we would head to the beach bar. it was so nice to sit in the breeze, listen to the ocean, and have drinks. they had these really fun swings instead of stools at the bar. they were our favorite. 

we had such a great time and are already daydreaming about our next beach vacation. we can't wait to bring robert and see how it likes it now that he is a bit older! a big thank you to rob's sweet parents who took such great care of our little love.
