this past week, we went up to apple hill. it is about 10 miles of orchards along the highway leading up to the sierra mountains near south lake tahoe. it is about 40 miles from our house, so not too bad.
they have all kinds of things to do there- rides for the kids, apple (pear/peach/raspberry) picking, fishing, and everything you can eat apple- apple cider, apple beer, apple wine, apple pie, candy apples.. you get the idea.
we, of course, chose to go on the day it got really cold. it had just snowed not too far from there so we were a bit chilly, but had fun nonetheless. we bundled up robert and off we went.

here are the actual orchards. they were all picked by the time we made it out there this year, but it was fun to walk around in them.
we had such a blast at apple hill! this will definitely become a family tradition!
