party time..

robert hosted a safari themed birthday party to celebrate his first year!!

we had so much fun planning it and getting everyone together to celebrate our sweet boy!

we hosted it at a park near our home, which turned out to be perfect.. all the kids were entertained and the weather could not have been better!

omg. is it not the cutest thing ever?! my very talented and sweet sister-in-law, carolyn, made it.. in like 2 seconds.. like it was no big deal. my niece, cate, is so lucky.

robert loved everyone singing to him. he kept clapping for himself.. he loved everyone saying "yaaaaay". little cute ham. i knew he wouldn't dig in on the cake.. he loved playing with the icing and had at least 2 bites of the actual cake :-)

now for some sweet friends.. i could kick myself for not getting everyone's picture! so many sweet friends came out to help us celebrate our sweet boy!

here are my yoga friends and all of the little ones (all within a few weeks of each other!). these ladies and i waddled to yoga right up to our due dates together. they have become some of my closest friends in ca and i am so lucky to have them! love you, ladies!

here are some very dear friends of ours.. on the left, kelli, ming and the precious baby jacob! on the right is dominik.. the son of lisa and greg (along with laila and kolbs!) these two families have been so wonderful to us! kelli & lisa are baby whisperers and have helped me get robert to sleep more than once :-) we would be lost without them!
