we had such a wonderful christmas this year! rob was off work and we got a real tree for the first time.. it really made the house so christmas-sy and smell so good!
robert and i had been talking a lot about christmas, santa, and baby jesus's birthday. i wouldn't say that robert really "got" it this year.. and he was definitely not impressed with santa.. but he definitely loved opening gifts. it was so much fun seeing the joy in his face christmas morning. he loved his toys and definitely hit the jackpot :-)

on christmas eve, we went to a candlelight church service.. it was beautiful! we took some pictures afterwards :-)
reading the night before christmas.. a tradition passed on from my dad. my mom has pictures of us reading every year. traditions are so wonderful.. i could hear my dad, like he was right next to me, reading the book :-)

it was such a wonderful christmas at our house. we are so blessed and thank God every day for all He has given us. i can't wait for many holidays to come with a house full of family. hope you all had a great christmas as well (a month later)!
